Privacy policy
Effective September 1, 2026
Nuaico (nuaico.com) is published by GUS — Green Universal Services. This page explains what we collect when you use the site, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect an email address when you ask us to, we use it for the digest and your account, and we never sell it or use it for ads.
What we collect
Digest signup. Your email address, the sectors you picked, the page you signed up from, and the time.
Account. Your email address and a password. The password is stored only as a hash by our authentication provider; we can’t read it. As you use your account we also store the sectors you follow, the stories you save, and whether the digest is on.
Technical data. Like any website, our hosting and database providers keep short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and reliability. We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and aggregate: it tells us which stories and sectors get read and roughly where visitors come from, and it does not identify you or follow you across other sites. We run no advertising trackers.
Cookies and browser storage
Signing in sets first-party session cookies so you stay signed in; they’re set by our authentication provider and cleared when you sign out. Your light/dark theme choice is kept in your browser’s local storage. We set no third-party or advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To send the weekday digest you asked for, covering the sectors you chose.
- To run your account: sign-in, password reset, followed sectors, saved stories.
- To answer you when you write to us, and to act on corrections you report.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We never sell personal information, never share it for advertising, and never send marketing on anyone else’s behalf.
Who processes it for us
- Supabase — database and account authentication.
- Resend — delivers the digest and account emails (confirmation, password reset).
- Vercel — hosts the website.
- GitHub — runs the scheduled job that builds and sends the digest.
Each acts on our instructions under its own security and privacy commitments. Data may be stored and processed in the United States.
How long we keep it
- Digest signups — until you unsubscribe. After that we keep the address marked as unsubscribed so we never email it again; email us and we’ll erase it entirely.
- Accounts — until you delete your account, which also removes your digest subscription, followed sectors and saved stories.
- Email delivery records — Resend keeps a record of each email it sends for us (your address, the subject and the content) for 30 days.
- Job and server logs — GitHub keeps the logs of our digest job for 90 days; addresses are masked in them. Supabase and Vercel keep short-lived request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security, for a period set by their plans.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from the digest with the link at the bottom of every issue, or from your account.
- Change the sectors you follow, or your password, on your account page.
- Delete your account, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing hello@nuaico.com from the address on the account. We act within 30 days.
Depending on where you live you may have further rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA — access, correction, deletion, portability. The same address handles all of them.
Children
Nuaico is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we’ll remove the data.
Changes
When this policy changes we update the date at the top. A material change to how we use your email will be announced in the digest itself.
